Developing games of an OK nature

Where was everyone?

by Oscar on November 6th, 2009

Its been a dark month with this blog disappearing into the ether and Artoon vanishing from the Xbox Indie Marketplace! So what happened?

The blog was lost in a hosting migration and my general busyness (and laziness) has prevented me from fixing the issue sooner. I also received a Cease & Desist letter from a Japanese company regarding possible trademark infringement over the name Artoon. I’ve been forced to rename the game and decided to take the opportunity to roll out the free DLC I had planned with the upcoming update.

So some details on what will be new:

  • A new world for Art to explore (expect a teaser trailer for this very soon)
  • New music from the talented composer Mattias
  • More levels to colour and conquer
  • New pseudo-achievements

Everything is shaping up nicely and is in final testing, so will be available once the game passes Xbox Indie peer review.

Oh and the new name? Artzy

:)

Has this been re-released onto Indie Games yet?

Well, there is a JP company called Artoon, who was making games as far back as the Xbox.

Not that their games were worth playing. Blinx sucked. =p
